Painting Calla Lilies Part 2 of 2
In this demonstration, I will add tonality to define the petal shapes of the calla lilies. This is accomplished by combining Lamp Black with Titanium White acrylic paint and then layering the paint to give definition. The green stems is a combination of Primary Blue and Primary Yellow pigments. For the spadix, I use Cadmium Yellow. Special notes: The “Calla Lilies” painting was dedicated to Matt for the loss of his wife, Kimberly, whom I knew in my youth and worked with for many years.
